2nd Graders-Snowballs

In preparation for the snow, young artists got to hear more about how illustrator/author Louis Elhert creates her snow people in the book Snowballs. Once we discussed and critiqued the types of items she used, we created our own list of items we might need or use to make our snow people art. Check out our process below!

1.) Students overlapped and traced 3 circles for their snow person. Then we painted our snow!
2.) Just like in the book, we used found objects from around the art room to create our snow person!

3.) Putting together our snow people.
 4.) Artists loved this phase!
Some adorable snow people ready for the cold!
