Kindergarten: Self-Portraits

It's amazing how much kindergarten artists grow over a school year and their transformation from eggs with sticks poking out to drawing shape noses (other than pig and triangle noses) and discovering how to observe themselves in the mirror to draw self-portraits. Artists worked very hard this last rotation to use mirrors to learn to draw themselves and notice details on their faces by looking at shades of color, lines, and shapes. Good lookin', artists!

Patriot kindergarteners loved learning about all the different shades of brown in this book and seeing kids who were unique like them!

2nd Grade: Rainbows

After all their hard work on the bottle cap mural, artists relaxed from the collaborative efforts and painted their own rainbow to take home. They did a great job incorporating watercolor and charcoal to make a bright spring artwork!
